Next month on Saturday, April 5, Nathan Phillips Square will host a massive celebration for the city’s 191st birthday, packed with entertainment, energy, and excitement like never before—and it’s completely free to attend.
Kicking off at 3 p.m., this year’s bash will feature an exciting lineup of attractions and activities for all ages.
Check out the Toronto Made Market, which will showcase over 150 local vendors, offering a unique opportunity to explore and shop for the best of the city’s creativity, arts, and culture. From handcrafted goods to one-of-a-kind souvenirs, there will be something for everyone.
Fuel up on a diverse selection of mouthwatering dishes from local vendors, from savoury street food to indulgent sweet treats. Thirsty? Toast the city within the licensed 19+ bar area, which will be highlighting the city’s craft breweries and distilleries.
Nathan Phillips Square’s iconic outdoor skating rink will also be open for some winter fun, offering visitors the chance to glide across the ice in the heart of downtown.
The main stage will keep the energy high all day and night, with performances from local musicians and DJs setting the perfect soundtrack for the festivities.
To cap off the party, the event will culminate in a spectacular fireworks show at 9 p.m., lighting up Toronto’s City Hall in a breathtaking display of colour.
