Despite the unseasonably warm fall weather we’re having lately, the Christmas holidays are just two months away, and it’s already time to start planning for all of our favourite annual traditions coming up.
For those who love sipping on festive drinks to the sounds of holiday tunes, Toronto’s magical Miracle pop-up bar is set to return from November 15 through December 29, 2024.
The Christmas-themed cocktail bar, hosted by the award-winning team behind Civil Liberties, has been serving up creative beverages in an elaborately-decorated setting each year since 2018, covered from floor to ceiling in garlands, wrapping paper, lights, presents, and more.
Returning for the second year to Third Place located at 875 Bloor St W, guests can indulge in fan-favorite cocktails including the Christmapolitan made with vodka, elderflower, dry vermouth, spiced cranberry sauce, lime, rosemary, and absinthe mist, or opt for the Jingle Bells Nog, which has cognac, cream sherry, almond milk, cream, egg, vanilla, and nutmeg. A new signature beverage has also been added to the menu this year called the Christmasaurus Cocktail.
They also offer beer, mulled wine, and a spirit-free menu with classics like hot chocolate and apple cider.
Hungry? Indulge in a Santa-approved treat with yummy cookies from Courage Cookies, along with a selection of bar bites from Electric Bill.
Love the glassware your cocktail arrives in? Bring home a souvenir with you, as they have an array of themed mugs, glasses, and ready-to-drink cocktails available for purchase.
Santa himself will be paying visits to Miracle patrons this year, travelling from the North Pole to mingle, bring joy, and snap photos with guests. Keep an eye on their calendar for various holiday themed events throughout the pop-up, ranging from drag performances to family-friendly workshops.
In the spirit of giving back, Miracle will continue to donate $1 from every drink sold to Nellie’s, a local nonprofit organization providing shelter, education and advocacy for women and children in the GTA. To date, Miracle Toronto has donated an incredible $230,000+ to support the foundation.
For the first time, Miracle is now accepting reservations for the holiday season via OpenTable. Guests who book a reservation will receive a special gift in the form of a festive light-up branded beanie when they arrive for some extra Christmas cheer!
Don’t worry if you’re a last-minute planner though, as they will also keep tables open for walk-in guests.
