The journey to The Fifth Social Club is half the fun
If your Friday nights have been feeling a little flat lately, The Fifth Social Club has a two-word answer for that: dance floor.
Tucked inside 225 Richmond St W, with an entrance hidden in the alleyway on Duncan south of Richmond, this luxury bar and lounge has been quietly earning its reputation as the city’s most popular weekend dance party. The slightly secret entrance is part of the appeal.
Doors open Fridays at 9pm and Saturdays at 10pm, closing at 2am both nights. The crowd is 21+, and the vibe is upscale—think polished, not pretentious. There’s a strict dress code (leave the hoodies, ball caps, and running shoes at home), which keeps the energy intentional and the crowd curated.

The drink specials are genuinely tasty. On Fridays, you can grab a shot of Mi Campo Tequila for $5 before 11pm, or a rail drink or domestic beer for $6 before 10pm. Saturdays bring $4 singles before 11pm. It’s a smart way to get the night started without the sticker shock.
Beyond the weekly I Heart Friday and Social Saturday parties, the venue runs a solid calendar of themed nights—Neon Night, Pyjama Party, Halloween, and even a TIFF tie-in. Bottle service and party packages are available for groups, and the private events side makes it a solid pick for bachelorette parties and milestone celebrations.
