Just days after bundling up against the cold and turning the clocks back, Toronto will get a brief taste of September before temperatures plunge again.
According to Environment Canada‘s 11 a.m. Monday forecast, temperatures will reach 18°C on Monday, with mainly cloudy skies. A 40% chance of showers is expected late in the evening and overnight.
Tuesday will warm up to 20°C, with cloudy skies and possible morning showers before clearing in the afternoon. Wednesday will be the warmest day at 21°C, with a mix of sun and cloud before showers arrive overnight.
For context, Toronto’s normal daytime high for November 2 is just 10°C, according to Environment Canada, highlighting how unusually warm this week’s forecast is.
After the brief warm spell, temperatures will drop to 16°C on Thursday and 15°C on Friday. Friday will be cloudy, with a 40% chance of daytime showers, increasing to 60% overnight.
By Saturday, temperatures will plunge to 8°C, remaining there on Sunday. That’s a 13-degree drop in just three days, bringing Toronto’s brief taste of September weather to an abrupt end.
Make the most of Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday’s unusually warm weather with a patio drink, a long walk, or one last bike ride.
Keep an umbrella handy as showers remain possible, and have a warmer coat ready for the weekend’s sharp cooldown. Be sure to check Environment Canada for the latest forecast before heading out, as conditions may change.
