Get ready to celebrate Bavarian Style this weekend with the return of Toronto’s favorite fall festival!
Toronto Oktoberfest is back on September 27 and 28, 2024, bringing you two full days of fun filled with food, drinks, music, and dance.
This year’s celebration is going down at a brand new expansive venue, the Downsview Airport Lands Airplane Hangar.
Promising non-stop entertainment, attendees will get to enjoy polka music, traditional Schuhplattler dancers, German rock bands, an Oktoberfest cabaret show, DJs, contests, games, and so much more.
The hangar will be completely transformed into a Bavarian village-inspired atmosphere, complete with the sounds and flavors of Germany.
You can enjoy a wide range of German and European beers and spirits, along with delicious bites from food vendors offering both traditional Oktoberfest fare and modern takes on Bavarian cuisine.
Don’t worry, there will also be non-alcoholic, vegan, and gluten-free options to cater to all preferences!
According to the website, there are a few ground rules to follow: “introduce yourself to strangers, compliment your tablemates and take care of your friends (old and new), and eat, drink, sing, mingle, dance and attempt to speak German.”
Tickets start at $40 per person, and attendees will have to be 19 and older for the Tapping of the Keg as well as the Ein Prosit Closing Party.
Make sure to arrive early – the first 500 guests will receive a free 1L glass beer stein.
Dressing in traditional attire is encouraged, and if you’re quick, you can even buy an outfit at the festival while supplies last.
Prost!
