Spring has finally arrived in Ontario, and pretty soon, parks throughout the city will bloom with dreamy pink cherry blossoms. If you’re looking to immerse yourself in the magic of these fleeting petals, it turns out you don’t have to travel far to find a world-class view.
Travel platform Skyscanner has officially weighed in on the best destinations to see cherry blossoms in Canada for 2026, and Toronto was the only city in the province to make the prestigious cut.

Where To Find The Best Blooms
While the city is full of tree-lined streets, there are a few iconic spots that truly steal the show. According to Skyscanner, the peak bloom typically hits between late April and early May, turning three locations into must-visit stops.
Unsurprisingly, High Park tops the list, as Toronto’s crown jewel of the cherry blossom scene. Thousands of visitors flock to the west end every spring to witness the “Sakura watch” reach its peak. High Park’s collection of over 2,000 cherry trees – many of which were gifted to Toronto by the citizens of Tokyo in 1959 – creates a breathtaking canopy of white and pink petals that rivals some of the most famous displays in the world.

Another popular spot in the city is Trinity Bellwoods, perfect for a scenic stroll that’s complete with a stunning view that frames the CN Tower in pink blossoms.
Finally, Skyscanner highlights the University of Toronto’s St. George Campus, where historic architecture meets delicate spring florals.
Planning Your Visit
While the exact dates for the peak bloom depend entirely on the weather, you can stay ahead of the game by keeping an eye on Sakura Steve’s blog. The High Park Nature Centre also provides regular updates so you can time your trip perfectly.
Toronto joined the ranks of other stunning Canadian cities like Victoria, Montreal, and Halifax on this year’s list. On the global stage, Skyscanner also highlighted international heavyweights like Japan and South Korea, but we’re pretty happy having a slice of that magic right here in our own backyard.
