When it comes to Toronto, the magazine highlights our multicultural identity and diversity, with special mention of 2023’s mayoral election of Olivia Chow, who is the first woman of colour to hold the title.
“Toronto is more diverse than any city in the world, including New York City and London. More than half of its population of 3 million was born outside of Canada and upwards of 180 languages are spoken here,” AFAR writes.
With so many unique cultural hubs, neighbourhoods, restaurants, and more to explore, you don’t have to go far for a taste of international travel.
