Canada’s 100 Best has just dropped its highly anticipated 2026 rankings, and the results are a huge win for Ontario. Out of the top ten spots in the entire country, five come from our home province – with four of those gems found right here in Toronto.
Taking the crown for the second year in a row is Restaurant Pearl Morissette. Located in Jordan Station just an hour’s drive from the city, this French-inspired, Michelin-starred destination is a masterclass in farm-to-table dining. With a revolving prix-fixe menu that moves with the rhythm of their own garden, it’s no wonder they’ve secured a top-ten spot for five years running.
But if you aren’t looking to leave the city limits, you’re still in for a world-class feast. Toronto’s heavy hitters absolutely swept the rankings this year:
- No. 4 – Quetzal: Bringing flame-grilled coastal Mexican flavors to College St.
- No. 5 – Edulis: A Niagara St. staple known for its impeccable seafood using seasonal ingredients.
- No. 7 – Alo: The recently-renovated Spadina Ave. icon that remains one of the toughest tables to snag.
- No. 10 – 20 Victoria: An intimate Financial District destination for bold, ultra-contemporary Mexican tasting menus with Michelin-level finesse.
