The big reveal is finally here!
After more than a year of keeping their look under wraps, Toronto Tempo, Canada’s first WNBA team has finally unveiled their debut home and away uniforms.

The home uniform jersey is a crisp white, while the away jersey features the team’s signature shade, Tempo Bordeaux. Adding a subtle contrast, the lettering on both is outlined in Borealis Blue, a light periwinkle hue.
“We knew we wanted something that was really classic and that could live on for a long amount of time,” said Whitney Bell, Tempo Chief Marketing Officer, of the design philosophy.

Beyond the striking colour palette, both the home (Heroine) and away (Explorer) jerseys feature a unique detail: six distinct speedlines flowing down the sides. This feature is packed with symbolism, representing both the six boroughs of Toronto and the dynamic relationship between the five players on the court and the crucial “sixth player”, which are the fans.
Bell said the speed lines set the uniforms apart, and make the team really unique. “It speaks to the word Tempo itself as well.”

She highlighted the away uniform specifically, adding, “having those bright blue lines on top of the Tempo Bordeaux is really beautiful, and just the change in the width and the flow of them speaks to that dynamic nature of our name and the game itself.”
The jerseys also feature the logos of the team sponsors, Sephora and CIBC, on the shoulder and abdomen.

Fans will be able to get their hands on the Explorer (away) jersey starting in January. The Heroine (home) jersey won’t be sold by the league and the much-anticipated Rebel (alternate) uniform design is still under wraps.
The journey from concept to court has been a long one. After the franchise was awarded in May 2024 and the name, logo, and colour scheme were announced that December, the uniforms were designed in November 2024. Due to the months-long mass production process, the jerseys remained a tightly guarded secret until their big reveal this Tuesday.
