On Line 2, subway service between Kipling and Jane will end just before midnight each night from October 13 to 16, with shuttle buses replacing trains until regular service resumes around 6 a.m.
The TTC says crews will be installing communication and signal cables between Islington and Old Mill, carrying out track and switch maintenance near Islington and Kipling, and inspecting infrastructure for early signs of wear. The Grenview entrance at Royal York Station will also be closed during the work.
Line 1 riders will face a different disruption. From October 13 to 15, subway service between Vaughan Metropolitan Centre and Finch West will operate on a single track after 11 p.m., reducing service and causing delays of up to 15 minutes.
Southbound riders at Finch West must board from the northbound platform, while customers travelling north toward Vaughan Metropolitan Centre will need to transfer at Finch West and use the southbound platform. TTC staff will be on site to assist passengers.
If you’re travelling late at night, allow extra time and plan around the 11 p.m. and midnight service changes. Stations will remain open for PRESTO card loading and bus connections, while Wheel-Trans service is available on request. Riders can check elevator status by calling 416-539-5438 and should monitor live service alerts and @ttcnotices before heading out for the latest updates.
