With a returning candlelight parade and festive events planned for December, Main Street Unionville offers plenty of reasons to visit this Christmas.
The highlight is the Olde Tyme Christmas Candlelight Parade, returning Saturday, December 12, 2026, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., according to Main Street Unionville.
The parade last took place in 2024, when the program included more than 40 floats and local marching bands. According to the Markham Review, festivities also included Santa, a fire show, carollers, and free skating at the Crosby Community Centre.

Families can enjoy Breakfast with Santa on December 5 at Jake’s on Main and December 12 at the Unionville Arms, with two seatings each day: 9 to 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tickets cost $33 per person, according to Main Street Unionville’s Instagram post, and advance booking is recommended as spots can sell out.
Unionville’s annual Christmas Celebration, featuring a tree lighting, ornament workshop, and visits with Santa, last took place on December 6, 2025. A 2026 date has yet to be announced, and Visit Markham’s listing still shows last year’s details. Check Main Street Unionville’s website for updates before visiting.

With Main Street’s restoration work appearing complete, the historic village is ready to welcome visitors. Dress warmly, wear comfortable winter boots, and leave time to wander its picturesque streets. After all, part of Unionville’s Christmas magic is simply soaking up the festive atmosphere.
