There’s nothing like welcoming the start of the new year with an epic fireworks show, and the city of Toronto has officially confirmed there will be a number of free events to ring in 2024.
While there are many cities in Ontario to see NYE fireworks, if you happen to be staying in Toronto, these are the best places to see the main attractions.
According to the City of Toronto website, both Sherbourne Common at 61 Dockside Drive and Toronto Music Garden at 476 Queens Quay W will have great views of the fireworks off the waterfront, as well as live performances, DJs, and food trucks.
If those two spots are too packed, you can also head to Sugar Beach Park, Harbour Square Park, HTO Park, or Little Norway Park for a little more breathing room.
The events begin at 10 p.m. on December 31, and the fireworks will launch at midnight.
If you prefer to watch the show from the comfort of your own home, you’ll be able to watch a livestream of the event via the city’s YouTube channel.
Keep in mind that City Hall will not have a fireworks show, but skating will be open until 10 p.m. at Nathan Phillips Square as a pre-show activity.
