A new outdoor skating rink and enchanting winter experience is coming to downtown Toronto – and it opens this weekend!
RendezViews, home to the city’s largest outdoor patio at Richmond and John St., is bringing a cottage-style retreat called WinterViews to the heart of the city, which includes free ice skating with views of the CN Tower.
You won’t have to worry about the recent mild temperatures either, as the ice itself is completely synthetic.
Not only is skating free – skate rentals are too, but keep in mind they are first come first served.
After your skate, you can grab a bite to eat or warm up with a seasonal beverage at the Back Country Lodge, or book a more private dining experience in one of their 10 Northern Cabins complete with a personal fire pit you can roast marshmallows over.
The private experience does require reservations which you can book online, but the Back Country Lodge is open for walk-ins.
WinterViews will be open for free skating along with the lodge on December 29 and 30 from 5 – 9 p.m., and then officially for the season with the private cabins as of January 4, 2024.
When: Soft opening weekend – December 29, 30
