Get your dancing shoes ready! The world’s highest discotheque floor is making a comeback, and it’s bringing all the shimmering nostalgia of the ’80s back to the city this weekend.
For over a decade, Sparkles was the crown jewel of Toronto nightlife, operating from 1979 to 1991 at the very top of the CN Tower. Now, as part of the Tower’s massive 50th anniversary celebrations, this iconic discotheque is being resurrected for an immersive, one-night-only pop-up event as the ultimate throwback.

Step into a time capsule on Friday, April 10 as the Main Observation level transforms into a neon-soaked dreamland. Attendees can dance high above the city skyline beneath giant disco balls while sipping on classic retro cocktails. The soundtrack for the evening will be a curated mix of unforgettable throwback hits, designed to make you boogie 1,136 feet above the streets below.
In a truly poetic nod to the club’s history, the night will be hosted by George Andrew, the longest-running resident DJ in Sparkles’ history. He won’t be alone behind the decks, either; he’ll be joined by his son, DJ Shamz, who is making his official CN Tower debut for this epic father-son set.

The best part? You don’t need to worry about a velvet rope or an exclusive guest list. Access to this high-altitude party is completely included with a standard general admission timed ticket to the CN Tower. Whether you lived through the original disco era or are looking to experience the vibes for the first time, everyone is invited to drop in and stay late.
