In random celebrity news, American rapper and entrepreneur Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson will be making a special appearance at a downtown LCBO in Toronto next month – why you ask?
It’s all to promote his premium spirits brand, Branson Cognac, which is now available at the LCBO for a retail price of $99.95. The LCBO Store located at 49 Spadina Avenue will host Jackson for a bottle-signing event on Friday, December 12, from 6 to 8 p.m.
He personally announced the upcoming event via a video posted on Branson Cognac and LCBO’s social accounts, encouraging fans to stop by and pick up a bottle.
According to the LCBO, this distinguished spirit is a product of the renowned Cognac region in France (meaning it can be sold in Ontario despite American liquor brands being pulled from the shelves).
“It undergoes pot still distillation and is then aged a minimum of 2 to 3 years in French oak, resulting in complex aromas of vanilla and fruit,” writes the LCBO.
“The palate is bold yet elegant with notes of oak, apple, and light citrus.”
Jackson’s spirits promotion will be followed by a high-profile engagement the very next evening. He is scheduled to host an event at REBEL on Saturday, December 13, though it is still to be determined if he is performing or just hosting.
