Winter in Ontario is about to get a lot brighter.
Just 2 hours north of Toronto, Blue Mountain Village’s signature Holiday Magic officially returns this November, transforming the pedestrian resort into an illuminated alpine wonderland.

Running from November 20 through January 3, the seasonal celebration brings back glowing pathways, interactive displays, and weekend festivities designed to welcome the colder months with warmth and sparkle.
At the heart of the village’s festivities is the Holiday Magic Light Trail, a self-guided, one-kilometre illuminated walking route. Beginning near the Welcome Centre, the trail winds past snow-dusted evergreens, twinkling archways, and oversized seasonal light installations.
Each evening from dusk until 10:00 p.m., the route comes alive with synchronized light sequences, festive photo opportunities, and piped-in holiday soundscapes that echo through the cobblestone streets.
Best of all, access to the light trail is completely free and open to the public, with no tickets or reservations required.

While the glowing path is the main evening draw, Holiday Magic extends throughout the entire village with daytime activities, entertainment, and culinary treats. On Saturdays, don’t miss the village’s horse-and-carriage rides carrying Santa and his elves, alongside trackless train rides, roving holiday characters, and storytime with Mrs. Claus.
The Village Events Plaza will also host seasonal performances, including the Subaru Stage concert series and weekend holiday DJ sets. Warm up by an outdoor fire pit in the plaza with specialty hot beverages from traditional rich cocoas to spiked après-ski concoctions.
Whether you are arriving after a day on the slopes or taking a weekend drive up from the city, Holiday Magic offers one of Southern Ontario’s most scenic traditions to kick off the winter season.
