Canada’s largest free outdoor light festival is returning this holiday season, and this magical escape is less than two hours from Toronto!
Niagara’s Winter Festival of Lights is coming back for its 44th year this November, featuring an enchanting celebration filled with glowing holiday displays, family-friendly events, and sparkling night skies.

From over 25 brand-new interactive installations and larger-than-life light sculptures to decadent stops along the self-guided Hot Chocolate Trail, you’ll get to wander through three million twinkling lights, take in breathtaking winter fireworks above the falls, and warm up with sweet seasonal treats.
Snap photos beside radiant wildlife displays, immerse your senses in hands-on light exhibits that invite you to touch and connect, or bring the family out for live holiday performances at the OLG Stage and festive meet-and-greets with Santa Claus.

Admission to the outdoor festival is completely free, making it easy to stroll the scenic illumination route or take in the sights right from your car.
The Winter Festival of Lights will take place along the Niagara Parkway and surrounding tourist districts from Saturday, November 14, 2026 to Sunday, January 10, 2027, with the lights turning on nightly from 5 p.m. to midnight.
More details are expected to drop in the coming weeks, which you can follow along with on their website.
