Owned by Guillermina Buzio, Bacan is a wonderful Queer and woman-owned, family-friendly restaurant that creates comidas ricas with Argentinian and Venezuelan flavors.
Bacan’s commitment to diversity is evident in their menu, with a variety of hot and cold items created by Chef Juan Carlino. Menu items range from vegan to vegetarian and even gluten-free so anyone with dietary restrictions won’t have to feel excluded. The meat is ordered from a local Portuguese butcher and is made with no preservatives or artificial flavors.
From delicious Venezuelan staples like cachapas with cheese (add proteins like chorizo or shredded beef for an additional price) to Arepas. Huge plates of Costillitas which are tender, delicious short ribs that you can order on their own or with coleslaw, yuca fries or veggies, and chimichurri.
They’ve got 2 different empanadas to choose from with some varieties, either Argentinian and Venezuelan. Plus, don’t forget their all-day Friday drink specials with $10 arepas, cocktails, and even brunch options on Saturday from 11am-4pm and all day on Sunday.
