Clink, clink! A Toronto bar has once again earned recognition as one of the world’s finest drinking destinations.
In this year’s list of The World’s 50 Best Bars 2025, Toronto’s Bar Pompette secured the 55th spot, moving up from its 70th place ranking in 2024.
The recognition comes from the 50 Best organization, a global authority in food, drinks, and hospitality, known for spotlighting top restaurants, bars, hotels, and vineyards worldwide.
The extended list of bars between 51 and 100 comes ahead of the Top 50, which will be revealed on October 8, 2025. As of now, Bar Pompette is the only Canadian bar to make the list.

According to 50 Best, Bar Pompette offers an experience that “transports guests from Toronto’s Little Italy to a buzzy bistro on the streets of France.” Its cocktails lean heavily into French inspiration with an emphasis on Ontario ingredients.
One standout is the Cornichon Martini, a creative twist infused with pickle distillate. Another signature is the Nitro Colada, first introduced in 2020, which combines clarified pineapple juice, coconut oil washed rum, falernum, and coconut water for a modern take on the tropical classic.

The bar is also celebrated for its rotating lineup of limited-edition cocktails, which ensures that regulars and newcomers alike always have something new to sip on.
Opened in 2021, Bar Pompette is a walk-in only cocktail bar at 607 College Street, located just a few steps away from its sister businesses: Vinoteca Pompette, a Franco-Italian restaurant and wine bar, and Bakery Pompette, known for artisanal breads and pastries.
Earlier today, the bar took to their Instagram to comment on the recognition in a social media post. They captioned the photo, “Happy & humbled. We are grateful for the support of our guests, our team, and our community.”
