Toronto’s annual Beaches International Jazz Festival is about to wrap up, but not before one last hurrah!
This weekend, an entire stretch of the East End will once again transform into an open-air concert and pedestrian party for their famous StreetFest.
From July 23 to July 25, the popular street takeover returns, closing down a two-kilometre section of Queen Street East between Woodbine and Beech Avenues. The lively strip will come alive with an incredible lineup of local musicians and bands stationed along the street. Spanning everything from smooth jazz and soulful blues to high-energy rock, the non-stop live performances cater to music lovers and attendees of all ages.
Beyond the music, there will be plenty more to explore along the strip. Come hungry, as there will be a diverse offering from food trucks and neighbourhood restaurants. Guests can also stroll through vibrant market stalls showcasing unique treasures, fashion finds, and handmade goods from local artisans.
The event is also completely free to attend. StreetFest will take over Queen Street East from July 23 through July 25. Queen St. East will close to vehicle traffic starting at 6:00 p.m. each evening, with live performances scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
