We may be in the midst of a heat wave in the city, and what better way to cool off than at a giant water park?
This weekend, Splash ON is bringing back its two giant floating playgrounds for the summer season, located at Centennial Beach in downtown Barrie, along with a smaller sister location at Tudhope Park in Orillia. These massive inflatable water parks are set along the scenic lakefronts and are packed with action for kids and adults of all ages.
The Barrie water park holds the title of the largest in the country, with a record-breaking capacity of 350 people! If you’re looking for high-energy fun, bigger jumps, and deeper water, this is the place to be.
For a more relaxed pace, the Orillia waterpark features shallower waters, making it ideal for younger kids and novice swimmers. Both parks are designed with floating obstacle courses, climbing walls, slides, trampolines, and monkey bars, with layouts updated every season to keep the experience fresh and exciting.
Before you book your summer daytrip, keep in mind that participants must be at least five years old, and children between the ages of five and eight must be accompanied by an adult. Lifejackets are mandatory and provided on-site, although visitors are welcome to bring their own.
After your time at the water park, you can relax and unwind at the public beaches next to both locations, which are free to access and perfect for a post-splash hangout. These scenic beaches offer the perfect setting to soak up the sun or enjoy a picnic with friends and family.
Splash ON Barrie officially reopens for the summer on June 27, 2025, and Splash ON Orillia one day later on June 28, 2025. Tickets are available now and range from $25 to $32 per person, depending on the park and two-hour time slot selected.
Spots tend to fill up quickly, especially on weekends, so it’s recommended to book in advance through the Splash ON website.
