Canada’s largest theme park has officially opened for the season today, May 3, so get ready to get a healthy dose of adrenaline to kick off the summer!
Canada’s Wonderland located in Vaughan is back and better than ever, adding even more attractions this year to their already-solid line-up of 200+ attractions, 69 water rides, and 16 roller coasters.
Despite the amusement park’s 20-acre premier water park Splash Works not opening until later this month on May 25, thrill-seekers will be amped to try their newest Moosehorn Falls ride.
Inspired by the river rapids and waterfalls of New Brunswick’s Fundy National Park, the giant water slide will take your six-person raft careening down a river before dropping you over a 42-foot wall.
In addition to Moosehorn Falls, Splash Works is also home to 16 more water slides and attractions varying in intensity. There’s also the wading pool at the Lakeside Lagoon or the Lazy River to float down and beat the heat at when things warm up later this summer.
Until then, adventure-lovers can test their bravery on the Leviathan or Behemoth rollercoasters, or take it easy at Swan Lake or the Antique Carousel.
Also new this year, Canada’s Wonderland will host a Food and Wine Festival from June 7 – 23, featuring local and international wine samplings, food pairings, and live music and entertainment.
They will also host SickKids Day on July 11, the park’s first, in which ticket proceeds will be used to support the hospital.
Check out the park’s slew of other upcoming events on their website, including holiday fireworks shows, Celebration Canada, Oktoberfest, and more!
