If you’re an F1 fan, get excited, because the North American premiere of The Formula 1 Exhibition is about to open in Toronto!
As of this Friday, May 3, the exhibition will open its doors to the public at the Lighthouse Artspace, running until mid-July.
Spanning 20,000 square feet across six unique rooms, the exhibition will showcase a variety of exclusive contributions from F1’s most iconic teams and personalities, Formula 1 race cars across time, and never-seen-before photography, film, and artifacts.
There will even been an interactive and immersive experience using state-of-the-art simulators and technology, where visitors can see what its like to be behind the wheel of an F1 race car with the use of official F1 gaming equipment.
Over 90 minutes, visitors start the experience in the Once Upon A Time In Formula 1 room, featuring unseen photography, film, artifacts, and more which cover defining moments of the sport across time. Peek at how F1 teams design and manufacture each season’s new car at the Design Lab, before moving to the Drivers & Duels room celebrating the sport’s most iconic drivers and races since the sport began in 1950.
Fallen Heroes highlights Formula 1 drivers who have tragically lost their lives in the pursuit of success, before you get to the fifth room, Survival, which tells the story of Romain Grosjean’s horrific crash in Bahrain and his escape from death.
The final room of the exhibition is The Pit Wall, which includes a cinematic and immersive experience where fans can relive the greatest moments in Formula 1 history.
