Toronto’s favourite island getaway is officially about to wake up from its winter slumber.
Starting this Saturday, May 2, Centreville Amusement Park is reopening its gates for the 2026 season, marking the return of one of the city’s most nostalgic spring traditions. Set on 600 acres of parkland, the turn-of-the-century themed village is ready to welcome families back for another year of sunshine and skyline views.

With over 30 rides and attractions, the park remains the ultimate family-friendly destination for those looking to escape the concrete jungle without actually leaving the city. You can take a spin on the iconic 1907 antique carousel, get a bird’s-eye view of the park from the Sky Ride, or brave the splashes of the Log Flume.
For those who prefer a slower pace, the Far Enough Farm located right next door will also be open, giving visitors a chance to meet over 40 species of farmyard animals and exotic birds.
Planning Your Trip
While the park is free to enter, you’ll need to grab a pass or individual tickets to hop on the rides. If you’re looking to save a few bucks, booking your all-day ride passes online in advance is usually the best way to go.
For now, Centreville Amusement Park will only open for weekends in May (including Victoria Day), with daily operations beginning June 1. To get there, take the Centre Island ferry from the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal at 9 Queens Quay W.
