If your name is Janice, this one’s for you!
A formal apology party courtesy of Toronto’s very own Champagne Papi is coming right to the heart of Toronto’s Financial District this weekend.
No stranger to headline-grabbing stunts surrounding his latest album drop, Drake’s latest is one of the city’s most hilariously specific events of the summer.

This Sunday, the Cactus Club Cafe on Adelaide Street will transform into a VIP apology tour. The invite-only affair for the Janices of the city is a grand gesture of goodwill designed to make amends for his track “Janice STFU,” which featured some definitely-less-than-flattering lyrics about a woman named Janice. To make up for the shade, Drizzy is rolling out the red carpet for anyone in the city who actually shares the name.
The three-hour afternoon bash takes over the restaurant on Sunday, July 28, running from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The guest list caters strictly to attendees named Janice, but getting past the velvet ropes won’t be as simple as just RSVPing. Guests are required to show physical, legal ID at the door to prove their name before entering the party.
The venue choice is suitable considering the history between the rapper and the restaurant’s infamous frozen drinks. Drake previously nearly broke the internet after requesting the restaurant courier “four of them peach ‘linis” (referring to the hotspot’s famous Peach Bellinis garnished with sangria swirl) directly to his hotel room in under 30 minutes while he was in Vancouver for his It’s All a Blur Tour back in 2023. Naturally, they delivered.
The exclusive apology party will take over the Cactus Club Cafe at 77 Adelaide St. W. this Sunday. While the event is strictly for the Janices of the world, local fans can likely expect plenty of social media updates to roll out before the afternoon ends.
