A famous egg-centric sandwich shop with a name that might make your grandma blush is finally making its way north of the border.
Los Angeles-based cult favourite Eggslut is officially landing in Toronto this spring, marking the brand’s highly anticipated Canadian debut. Known for its chef-driven approach to the humble breakfast staple, the chain has built a massive global following for its indulgent, photo-worthy creations served on pillowy brioche buns.

The first Toronto outpost is set to take over the former home of Porchetta & Co. at 545 King St. W., right in the heart of one of the city’s busiest social hubs. If you can’t make it to the West End, don’t worry; a second location is already slated to open near Yonge and Dundas later this summer.
Torontonians can expect the same signature dishes that made the brand a sensation in LA. The menu’s fan-favourite is “The Slut”, comprised of an egg poached in a glass jar atop smooth potato purée, served with slices of toasted baguette. Other menu staples include:
- The Fairfax: Soft scrambled eggs with chives, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, and sriracha mayo.
- The Gaucho: Seared wagyu tri-tip steak with an over-medium egg, chimichurri, and red onions.
- The Sausage, Egg & Cheese: House-made turkey sausage, a medium-over egg, cheddar cheese, and honey mustard aioli.

The arrival of Eggslut adds even more fuel to Toronto’s growing obsession with gourmet breakfast sandwiches. The King West location will be opening just steps away from the upcoming King West Shake Shack, turning the block into a legitimate destination for fans of famous American exports.
While an exact opening date hasn’t been shared just yet, you can keep an eye on the official Eggslut Canada website for updates.
