A series of cozy, indoor movie nights is coming to the Don Valley to help you beat the winter blues this season.
As the temperature drops, Evergreen Brick Works is transforming into a charming seasonal escape, offering free screenings of family-friendly classics throughout January and February. It’s the perfect cold weather plan, providing a warm and inviting space to gather with the community.

The lineup features a nostalgic mix of hits, ranging from The Chronicles of Narnia to the heartwarming Little Women on Valentine’s Day. Screenings take place on select Saturday evenings, with the lights dimming and the films beginning promptly at 6:30 p.m.
While the event is completely free to attend, space is limited to approximately 175 guests on a first-come, first-served basis. Plastic chairs are provided, but to ensure you have the most comfortable experience possible, visitors are encouraged to bring their own cushions and blankets. If you prefer your own setup, there is also plenty of room at the back of the hall to bring your own chairs from home.

For those looking for the full cinema experience, the Evergreen Bar will be open and stocked with snacks and drinks available for purchase.
Here is the full screening schedule:
- January 17: The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
- January 24: 101 Dalmatians
- January 31: Abominable
- February 7: Frozen
- February 14: Little Women
Doors open early, and it is recommended to arrive well before showtime to secure your spot, as the building doors will close at 7 p.m. If you’d like to make a day of it, you can explore the Ontario Science Centre pop-up, which will be onsite from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. each screening day. You can also lace up for a weekend public skate on their rink, available Saturdays from 1 to 6 p.m.
