Returning just in time for the first official weekend of the summer, Fairbanks Summerfest is back next month for a fun-filled weekend of rides, games, and entertainment.
Taking over Eglington Avenue West from June 21 – 23, the event is a “modern twist on a summer carnival extravaganza”, according to their website.
No one loves paying an admission fee to only have to pay again for all the rides within the carnival, but luckily, everything including the admission, rides, and live entertainment is completely free! There’s even a free Super Dogs show, where you can see adorable canine friends perform impressive tricks.
Attracting over 80,000 attendees last year, there will also be a variety of diverse culinary offerings from around the world, as well as a sidewalk sale reminiscent of a European Bazaar.
If you’re there between 12 and 4 p.m., there will also be free popcorn while supplies last!
This year’s live musical guests include A Flock of Seagulls and Trooper, and you can find the full schedule of entertainment here on their website.
Mark your calendars, Toronto! It’s not everyday you get a free carnival in the city.
