In the spirit of giving back, a cherished Thanksgiving tradition is returning to Toronto this weekend, offering hundreds of local families the chance to enjoy a full holiday feast.
The annual Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway is coming back to Downsview Park this Sunday, giving out 300 free turkey dinners to the community. Organized by the Downsview Park Merchants Market alongside Northcrest, the giveaway helps residents celebrate the season with all the classic fixings.
Back for its seventh year, each free bundle comes stocked with a full turkey, potatoes, and cranberry sauce, ensuring families have everything required to put together a proper holiday dinner.
The Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway will take place at the Downsview Park Merchants Market, located at 40 Carl Hall Road, on Sunday, October 11. The event kicks off at 12 p.m., with hampers distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last (limit of one per family).
