If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to live inside a magical gingerbread house, you’re in luck, because a huge Gingerbread Festival just kicked off in the city.
Located at Yonge and St. Clair, the festive event is back for its second year, and features a 12-ft-tall gingerbread house, mini gingerbread village, gingerbread trail, cookie decorating, workshops, and more.
As of today December 7, the life-size gingerbread house will be unveiled, accompanied with live music, entertainment, treats, and a cookie decorating workshop. Entry to the festival is completely free!
There will be 12 days total of activities and events, which you can find details of on their website.
If you’d like to participate in one of their various workshops such as cookie decorating, building a gingerbread house, or icing techniques, there is a minimum donation of $25, all of which is donated directly to Habitat for Humanity. By building gingerbread homes, you’ll also be helping to build homes for those in need in our city.
When: December 7 – 18, 2023
Where: 55 St. Clair Avenue West
