The internet has officially won! After a social media frenzy dubbed “Fleecegate,” the cozy piece of television history fans have all been dreaming of is finally becoming a reality.
Toronto-based lifestyle brand Province of Canada announced today on January 28 that they are partnering with Accent Aigu Entertainment to produce the iconic Team Canada fleece jacket from the hit Crave series Heated Rivalry. For fans of the hockey drama, it’s the ultimate way to wear your heart on your sleeve, quite literally.

If you’ve watched the show, you know the jacket. Famously worn by Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) during the Sochi Olympics scenes, the white-and-red zip-up became an overnight sensation. What began as a simple costume piece designed to capture “wearable coziness” turned into a viral movement, even sparking a Change.org petition signed by thousands of devoted fans.
By partnering with Province of Canada, the show is staying true to its roots. Known for manufacturing 100% of their products right here at home, the brand is ensuring that this fan-favourite piece is as authentic as the story itself.

“We’re so excited to partner with Province of Canada,” say executive producers Jacob Tierney and Brendan Brady. “As a Canadian-based, independent apparel brand that does amazing work sourcing and manufacturing high-quality clothing, we share a common ethos. We look forward to bringing it to life with the creativity and care fans expect.”
While we are still waiting on the exact price point, we do know that the jacket won’t just be a cheap knock-off. It is a faithful, high-quality recreation of the original screen-worn design.
Like the original, the all-white, premium fleece will feature those signature red maple leaves on the shoulders and “CANADA” emblazoned across the back, entirely cut and sewn in Canada. As well, in a nod to the show’s spirit, 10% of all proceeds will be donated to a charitable organization.

With the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina just around the corner, this has quickly become a chosen kit for Canadian supporters. While pre-orders aren’t live just yet, the website reads they are coming soon, and international shipping will be available for the show’s global fanbase.
If you want to snag one before they disappear, you can sign up for the official waitlist here on their website. As the producers put it: “We’re releasing the fleece” – and you’ll want to have your refresh buttons ready; this drop is expected to sell out fast!
In the meantime, you can visit one of the Province of Canada’s two stores in Toronto: one at 1004 Queen St. East, and the second at 104 Ossington Ave.
