One of Toronto’s favourite boutique hotels will soon open an unexpected winter attraction, featuring a free outdoor curling rink overlooking the city skyline!
This December, the Ace Hotel Toronto will transform its iconic rooftop bar Evangeline into a cozy Winter Chalet Pop-Up, running from December 2, 2025 through February 28, 2026.
Inspired by the snow-capped lodges of Chamonix and Zermatt, guests will be transported straight to the alps without ever leaving Camden Street.
Featuring a festive light display, crackling fireplace and rustic chalet feel, you can stop by for a cocktail or indulge in their new, specially curated menu focused on classic alpine fare.
For $45 per person, guests can choose from a savory Cheese Fondue, which is served with seasonal vegetables, fresh bread, gherkins, and meats for dipping. Alternatively, they can indulge in the sweet Chocolate Fondue, which is thoughtfully paired with fresh fruits, marshmallows, and nuts.
To warm up the spirit, the bar has crafted a selection of seasonally-inspired cocktails and mocktails featuring bold winter flavors, including the Mulled Wine Sour or the “Smooth O-pear-ator,” a non-alcoholic spiced pear cocktail.
Winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy a complimentary 30-minute curling session on the specially installed outdoor rink. Access to the rink is available throughout the day on a first-come, first-served basis.
Reservations for the chalet experience are available from Sunday through Thursday each week, making it a perfect spot for a unique mid-week date night or a cozy weekend warm-up high above the city.
