Christmas is just over one month away, and Toronto has truly embraced the holiday spirit.
From magical winter markets to explore to neighbourhoods decked out in glittering Christmas lights, there’s so many festive traditions to take part in!
One annual event to add to your list is affectionately known by locals as “Kringlewood”, where you’ll encounter countless giant Santas lining the street of Inglewood Drive in Moore Park.
Now back for its 11th year, this beloved tradition began in 2013 with the street’s residents setting up the 14-ft-tall inflatables on their lawns, spreading holiday cheer while supporting a good cause.
Some years, as many as 50 inflatable Santas have been counted in the neighbourhood!
While the festive and heartwarming displays are completely free for visitors to enjoy, the community comes together to try to help those in need.
Among the jolly Saint Nicks, you’ll also find a series of donation boxes set up to collect contributions for the Daily Bread Food Bank. If you have the means, visitors are encouraged to donate what they can!
You’ll find Kringlewood on Inglewood Drive between St. Clair East and Rosedale Heights.
