Later this summer, one of the chicest picnics is returning to Toronto, where invitees will dress in all white and head to dine at a secret location within the city.
Le Dîner en Blanc is a global culinary phenomenon held in locations around the world, and Toronto itself will see over 1200 guests alone!
Happening on Thursday, September 19, 2024, the dinner will take over one of Toronto’s public spaces for a night of food, fashion, and community.
In order to attend, there are three phases of registration: You can either be a member from the previous year and friends of the organizers, a friend “sponsored” by Phase 1 members, or the general public who has signed up on the official website.
On the day of Le Dîner en Blanc, you’ll be assigned a designated meeting point to gather at, before you as a group are escorted to the event’s actual location to keep it a top secret!
To maintain the uniqueness of Le Dîner en Blanc, guests must follow the dress code of head-to-toe white outfits. Prizes will be awarded for the best dressed!
Guests must also bring their own table, two white chairs, and a white tablecloth.
As for the meal, you can either bring your own picnic food complete with proper stemware and white dinnerware, or opt for the catered picnic basket option, which is prepared by award-winning Chef Trevor Lui that you can pick up on site.
You aren’t allowed to bring your own alcohol per Ontario alcohol regulations, but the event will offer a selection of wine or champagne curated by Charlie’s Burgers for the evening.
Once the meal is complete, guests will light up the sky and celebrate with sparklers while they mix and mingle. Live entertainment will follow, with an evening of partying on the dance floor.
After the party ends, guests will pack up their tables, chairs, and look forwards to next year’s event!
If you’d like to attend this year’s Le Dîner en Blanc, be sure to register soon on their website.
