Toronto’s Trillium Park at Ontario Place has been transformed into a glowing wonderland, thanks to the return of the Lumiere: The Art Of Light festival.
The annual free, immersive festival showcases bold and imaginative light-based art installations created by talented Ontario-based artists.
This year’s theme, Neon Dreams: Light and Colour, promises a mesmerizing collection of 14 stunning installations that explore the dynamic and playful nature of light in all its forms.
From March 10 to April 4, visitors can wander through Trillium Park and experience a collection of imaginative illuminated artworks, ranging from sculptures to interactive installations that blur the lines between art and technology.
Several of this year’s most intriguing pieces include Crystal Waters, a dreamlike installation that incorporates abstract human-like forms that shift in appearance from day to night, or Nyx 2025 which “reflects the artist’s feelings about AI and technology in all its wonder and horror”, according to the website description.
If the winter temperatures stick around, warm up at the Trillium Park fire pit every Friday and Saturday from 6 – 10 p.m.
If you visit during March Break from the 10-14, bonfires will be lit every night! (Weather permitting).
Lumiere: The Art Of Light will open nightly from dusk (around 7 p.m. by March 9) to 11 p.m. at 955 Lake Shore Boulevard West.
