Our shopping malls in Ontario may not have an indoor waterpark or rollercoasters like the West Edmonton Mall, but one now has an indoor go-kart track you can zip around in between your retail therapy.
The next time you’re in Cambridge, pop by the Cambridge Centre Mall to check out their newest high-speed attraction, which reaches up to 45 km per hour!
The 20-horsepower karts zoom around a track adjacent to the mall’s various shops, going through twists, turns, and even over a bridge.
For those who prefer to observe, you can hang out and watch from a second-floor mezzanine overlooking the racetrack below. There’s even a restaurant to refuel at onsite, as well as arcade games to play for a one-stop entertainment destination.
If you’re concerned about the noise and gas fumes, no need – as their karts are all electric and emission-free!
Brought to you by K1 Speed Canada and Bingemans Hospitality, this is their third racetrack in Canada.
The go-kart track opened just two weeks ago on March 15, adding to K1 Speed’s 88 other racing facilities around the globe.
The track is open Monday – Thursday from noon until 10 p.m., Fridays from 11 a.m. – 11 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to midnight, and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
You can reserve your race online via their website, or “Arrive and Drive” for their first come first served option.
One race costs $31 per person, but the more you book, the more you’ll save.
The Cambridge Centre Mall is located at 355 Hespeler Rd in Cambridge.
