June is almost here, and in addition to all the other exciting events, festivals, and activities happening next month, you can also look forwards to the re-opening of public swimming pools!
There’s no better way to beat the summer heat than with a refreshing dip, and despite Toronto’s supervised beaches opening on June 1, you’ll have to wait a bit longer for the city’s outdoor pools to open.
All of the outdoor public pools will officially open at the end of June on the 22nd, but ten will open earlier on June 15th if you’re itching to swim.
Operating on a limited schedule, you can swim at the following outdoor pools as of June 15:
- Alex Duff Memorial Pool
- Kiwanis Outdoor Pool
- Heron Park Community Centre
- McGregor Park Community Centre
- North Toronto Memorial Community Centre
- Parkway Forest Outdoor Pool
- Pine Point Park Outdoor Pool
- Riverdale Park East
- Sunnyside Gus Ryder Outdoor Pool
- West Mall Outdoor Pool
These will be open on evenings and weekends from noon until 8 p.m. until June 28th. After the 28th, they’ll begin their full time hours for the summer season.
Toronto’s remaining outdoor pools open for the season on June 22nd, also on a limited evening and weekend schedule until the 28th.
Pools close for the season on September 1 at 4 p.m.
