In celebration of the Toronto Raptors’ 2019 NBA Championship win, the city will be throwing a huge block party next week to mark the anniversary of their iconic victory.
Taking place at Harbourfront Centre on June 13 from 6 – 9 p.m., the outdoor event hosted by the Museum of Toronto will feature live music, food, and a myriad of basketball-themed activities.
Fans can join a 3-on-3 basketball tournament emceed by Raptors 905 broadcaster Warren Ward, and enjoy classic game-day eats like hot dogs, soft-serve ice cream, and beer, while the Raptors’ official DJ, 4Korners, keeps the energy high with a live set.
Before the event, you can also explore the Museum of Toronto’s new exhibition “Home Game: Toronto Loves Basketball”, which explores the relationship between our city and the sport.
“Even before the Toronto Raptors and the rallying cry ‘We the North’, basketball in Toronto was deeply rooted in the evolving social and cultural conditions of our city and its people,” reads the website.
Visitors will get the chance to design custom basketball jerseys, see both contemporary and historial game-related objects, and so much more.
The exhibit opened on May 21 and runs through October 12, 2025. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged. No reservations are required.
You’ll find the exhibit at 225 Queens Quay W at Harbourfront Centre.
