A romantic night at the museum is getting a double dose of magic this February as the ROM prepares to host two back-to-back late-night celebrations for Valentine’s weekend. Falling over the Family Day long weekend, you just might want to attend both!
The Royal Ontario Museum’s popular 19+ event series, ROM After Dark (RAD), is returning with a duo of themed parties designed to sweep you off your feet. Whether you’re looking to celebrate the Year of the Horse or find a spark on the dance floor, these after-hours bashes offer a rare chance to explore the galleries with a drink in hand and mark the occasion.
RAD: Lunar Love

Kicking off the festivities on Friday, February 13, ROM After Dark: Lunar Love blends the cultural traditions of the Lunar New Year with the romantic energy of Valentine’s Eve.
The evening will feature the colourful Yi Mo Tong Lunar New Year Lion Dance and a red envelope craft workshop guests can participate in to bring some extra luck to their love life. The night will be soundtracked by an eclectic lineup, including soulful R&B from trio Bitter and Broke and a dazzling performance by Canada’s Drag Race star Minhi Wang.
RAD: Valentines

The celebration continues the following night, Saturday, February 14, with ROM After Dark: Valentines. This edition fully leans into a classic Valentine’s Day, catering to couples, galentines, and everyone in between.
From immersive selfie stations and photobooths to the smooth jazz sounds of the Donovan Locke Trio, it’s a curated evening designed for making memories. Multidisciplinary artist Borelson will headline the main stage, while DJ Paul Chin keeps the heat rising on the dance floor.
Both events run from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., and your ticket includes more than just the party. Each guest receives one complimentary drink token and full access to the museum’s current special exhibitions, including the awe-inspiring Sharks and the world-renowned Wildlife Photographer of the Year.
Tickets are $40 for the general public and $36 for ROM Members. These events are known to sell out quickly, so you’ll want to grab yours on the ROM website before they disappear.
