Shake Shack lovers, you’ll soon have even more locations near you to find your favourite smashburger.
The iconic American burger chain has just announced plans to open three new restaurants across Ontario, bringing its total Canadian footprint to a broader stretch of the province. The new locations in Oakville, Burlington and London will open in 2026 and 2027, respectively, with the London outpost marking a notable first for the brand in Ontario.
Three Cities, One Drive-Thru First
The Oakville location at 275 Hays Blvd and Burlington at 4511 Dundas Street are slated to open in 2026, followed by the London restaurant at 3275 Wonderland Road South in 2027. The London Shack will be the first Shake Shack in Ontario to feature a drive-thru, offering an on-the-go option alongside traditional dine-in service.
Canadian Ingredients at the Core
All three locations will serve the chain’s established menu, built around 100% premium Canadian ingredients. Offerings include Angus beef burgers, Veggie Shacks made from real vegetables and grains, crispy whole white meat chicken sandwiches, crinkle-cut fries, and hand-spun shakes and frozen custards.
“Oakville, Burlington and London represent exciting milestones in our Canadian growth journey,” said Billy Richmond, Business Director of Shake Shack Canada, adding that the expansion aims to bring made-to-order menu items to more Ontario communities.
Ontario Expansion Continues
The three new locations build on Shake Shack’s existing Ontario presence, which is anchored in Toronto. The additions reflect a wider strategy to push the brand beyond major urban centres and into mid-sized Ontario markets, while the drive-thru format in London signals a potential shift in how the chain approaches suburban and highway-adjacent sites across Canada.
