A retro mobile roller rink on wheels may soon be bringing nostalgic summer vibes right to your neighbourhood.
Following the success of their pop-up rinks across the GTA, the team behind SUSO Skate Co. is introducing SKATEVAN just in time for the warmer weather.

SKATEVAN is Ontario’s first completely mobile roller skating experience, which will travel throughout the province this season to bring communities together with a series of pop-up events.
The travelling skate shop has been fully customized to hold over 100 pairs of skates as well as a full selection of protective gear. Upon arrival, the van will transform empty outdoor spaces into a roller-skating arena, complete with music and onsite skate staff to help out skaters of all ages and levels.

This year, the flagship Toronto stop features a special monthly residency at Evergreen Brick Works, where you can glide and groove under the open summer sky for just $18 for 45 minutes.
While the monthly residency requires a small ticket fee, the mobile tour is also partnering with major city festivals to offer completely free experiences. Over at Downsview Airport, skaters can enjoy the ultimate retro throwback by rolling straight onto the runway for a free-admission community event on July 11 and 12.

SKATEVAN will kick off its monthly residency at Evergreen Brick Works on Wednesday, June 24, with the evening session scheduled to run from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Besides the core Toronto dates, you can also catch the rolling skate van in nearby spots like Innisfil, Collingwood, and Stouffville.
You can find the full summer tour schedule and reserve your rental slot on the SKATEVAN website.
