After a delayed start, winter has definitely arrived in the city, which might have you dreaming about a tropical escape.
Luckily, you won’t have to go too far for a dose of Jamaican culture and cuisine, which is coming to Toronto’s STACKT Market this weekend on January 13.
Jamaica in January will feature games like Dominoes and Ludo, reggae music, authentic Jamaican bites, a paradise-themed photo booth, and a marketplace full of handmade crafts and souvenirs.
According to the event page, the festival is for “sun worshippers, beach lovers, homesick Jamaicans, and winter-weary people everywhere”, and is sure to “warm your soul, brighten your spirits, and tingle your toes.”
Sounds like just what we need after weeks of gloomy weather, rain, and snow!
Jamaica in January is completely free to attend, and will run from 12 p.m – 7 p.m. this Saturday at STACKT.
When: January 13, 12 – 7 p.m.
Where: STACKT Market
