Amid a slew of cancellations of popular festivals from the Festival of Beer to VegTO, one beloved spring event is officially making a comeback this year.
Taste of the Junction is set to return to the city’s west end this June, bringing a celebration of local flavours back to the streets after the event was cancelled in 2025.

For years, this festival has been a staple for residents and visitors alike, highlighting the diverse and vibrant culinary scene that makes The Junction one of Toronto’s most unique pockets.
On Saturday, June 27, 2026, the Green P parking lot at 385 Pacific Avenue will be transformed into a bustling outdoor public market. This year’s celebration is extra special, aligning with Toronto’s role as a Host City for the FIFA World Cup 2026 and embracing the festive “The World in a City” spirit.
From 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., the space will be taken over by 50+ vendor booths. Visitors can browse unique handmade goods from local makers while sampling delicious bites and refreshing drinks from some of the neighbourhood’s favourite local haunts.
The energy will be kept high all day long with live DJ sets and a dedicated family-friendly Play Zone located just down the street in the Darren’s No Frills parking lot.
Another highlight of the 2026 festival is Passageways, a series of five immersive, walk-in art installations. These 10×10-foot tents have been magically transformed by local artists into photo-worthy cultural environments. Each “Passageway” tells a unique story through colour, texture, and interactive elements, celebrating the rich heritage of the Junction’s British, Black, South Asian, Chinese, and Portuguese communities.
To make the experience even more layered, guests can scan QR codes at each tent to access audio guides that bring the stories behind the art to life.
Whether you’re a local or just visiting for the World Cup festivities, Taste of the Junction is a completely free way to experience the creativity and diversity that makes Toronto so special. Find out more on their official website here.
