Toronto is home to some pretty incredible steakhouses, from classic old-school restaurants to sleek, modern spaces with a twist on your traditional accompaniments.
One destination in the city now has even more bragging rights, after being recognized as one of the best steakhouses in the world.
Jacobs & Co. located on Brant Street is already Michelin-recognized, but now has a ranking on the World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants List as well.
Coming in at 73rd, the website highlights Jacobs & Co.’s meticulous attention to detail and exceptional service, knowledgeable staff, understated yet elegant design, and the fine selection of steaks that are cooked to perfection.
“Overall, Jacobs & Co. Steakhouse is an exceptional choice for anyone looking to indulge in high-quality steaks and exquisite dining service,” the site reads.
The annual ranking is managed and published by London-based Upper Cut Media House, which compiled its list based on 28 specific criteria. A few of the main things they look for include the restaurant’s offered meat quality, selection, service and meat expertise, wine list, interior design and look of the property, and online presence.
After analyzing over 900 steak restaurants around the world this year, only two Canadian steakhouses made the cut.
Vancouver’s Elisa placed 20th on the list, making it the best steak restaurant in the country.
Jacobs & Co. responded to their spot on the coveted list via their social media. “Feeling grateful and honored to be ranked #73 on the list of the World’s Best Steak Restaurants,” their Instagram post states.
“This recognition is a testament to our passion for crafting unforgettable dining experiences. Thank you to our incredible team and loyal guests who make this journey so rewarding.”
