Travellers from Toronto will soon have a new flight service which brings them directly from Pearson Airport to Morocco’s beautiful port city, Casablanca.
Serving as a commercial hub along the Atlantic Ocean, Casablanca is known for its French colonial legacy, stunning art deco buildings, resort-dotted sandy beaches, and buzzy nightlife.
As of this coming December, Royal Air Maroc (Morocco’s national carrier) will launch non-stop flights between Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport and Toronto’s Pearson International Airport three times a week.
“The upcoming launch of the Casablanca-Toronto route primarily addresses the strong demand from Moroccans living in Canada, particularly in Ontario,” said Hamid Addou, Royal Air Maroc’s President and CEO.
“It will also enhance the significant existing offer of the company, which has had the historic Casablanca-Montreal route since 1975 and currently operates two daily flights. Thus, flights to Toronto and Montreal will offer even more convenience and comfort to our compatriots living in Canada.”
Starting December 8, 2024, the service will depart from Pearson on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 9:30 p.m., arriving at Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport at 10:50 a.m. the next day.
Return flights from Casablanca depart on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 4:45 p.m. local time, landing at Pearson at 7:25 p.m.
From marveling at historical treasures like the old Cathédrale de Sacré Coeur or the glass-floored Hassan II mosque to soaking up the sun on the Plage Madam Choual, there is endless things to do and see in this enchanting city.
Time to pack your suitcases, Toronto, and get ready to explore a new destination!
