Toronto commuters, your daily ride could get a whole lot more magical!
As Christmas approaches, Toronto is embracing the season from holiday markets to kitschy cocktail bars.
Even the TTC is spreading holiday cheer for its passengers with the return of the TTC Holiday Train which is transforming ordinary commutes into a festive adventure filled with twinkling lights, cheerful décor, and seasonal spirit.

The first Holiday Train of the season will run southbound from Davisville Station on Line 1 (Yonge–University) starting on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
From there, it will continue spreading holiday cheer along Line 1 throughout the season, operating daily from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Until January 5, 2026, riders can hop aboard this decked-out train and experience the city’s transit system with a jolly twist.

In addition to the Holiday Train, four Holiday Streetcars will take the streets; three will have wrapped exteriors, and one will be fully decorated inside and out for an immersive, over-the-top festive experience. The routes of the Holiday Streetcars are being kept a surprise, which only adds to the excitement of potentially encountering one during your travels.
Spotting one of these streetcars is like stumbling upon a moving holiday postcard; perfect for a quick photo or an extra dose of seasonal joy on your commute.
