There’s nothing like being on a lake in the summertime, and what better way to spend an afternoon in the city than on a free boat tour of the waterfront?
Starting this May, Waterfront Toronto will be hosting free hour-long boat tours, where you can learn about key points of interest along the shores as well as see what’s in store for its future development.
You’ll get to see photos and renderings of what’s to come, accomplished “through a model of collaboration with our public and private sector partners,” the website reads.
Facilitated by Toronto Harbour Tours, your ride will depart from 145 Queens Quay West, taking you along the Portland Slip through to the Port Lands, all while your guide speaks to the area’s history.
Cruise past the waterfront’s revitalization projects currently underway, and enjoy the stunning city skyline views.
The best part? The boat tour is completely free! All you need to do is reserve your ticket.
Tour times will depart at 11:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m., and there are four dates available to sign up for: May 29, June 19, July 13, and August 17.
After the boat trip ends, you’ll be dropped off back where you boarded.
With limited dates and times, be sure to reserve your free tickets on their website soon!
