Beginning on June 1 and culminating in a four-day festival weekend, the celebration features four major marches, more than 250 community groups, and a powerful display of pride, visibility, and belonging. The Iconic Pride Parade
The Pride Parade is the festival’s defining event. More than 25,000 marchers, over 250 community groups, elaborate floats, dancers, and musicians make their way down Yonge Street, one of the world’s longest streets, in a procession that takes hours to pass. Crowds line the route several rows deep, cheering, celebrating, and embracing the spirit of the day. Handmade signs proclaim messages of love, pride, and belonging. Loud, joyful, and impossible to ignore, the parade is a powerful expression of visibility and community and a glimpse of the city at its most vibrant and inclusive.
The Trans March
One of the largest Trans Pride celebrations in the world, the Trans March is both a powerful act of visibility and a call for equality. Thousands of trans and non-binary people and allies take part in the march, which is accompanied by a community fair featuring artists, vendors, and advocacy organizations. The day also includes a rally and an energetic after-party with live performances and DJs. Rooted in activism and driven by community, the event celebrates resilience, identity, and the ongoing fight for inclusion and rights.
The Dyke March
What began as a grassroots movement has grown into a vibrant celebration of lesbian identity, community, and culture. The Dyke March features a rally, a spirited march, a community fair with local vendors and organizations, and an after-party filled with performances and DJs. Blending celebration with activism, the march creates space for visibility, connection, and empowerment while honouring the voices and experiences of lesbian communities.
The Pride Pool Party
Set against the waterfront at Cabana, a sprawling outdoor entertainment venue, this Mykonos-inspired Pride Pool Party is one of the festival’s signature parties. Headlined by stars from RuPaul’s Drag Race and powered by top DJs, the event combines sunshine, poolside energy, and high-impact fashion in a vibrant Harbourfront setting. Equal parts spectacle and celebration, it serves as the perfect warm-up for the festival weekend ahead.
The Village Fest
During festival weekend, the Church-Wellesley Village transforms into a lively open-air celebration filled with DJ sets, drag performances, and live entertainment. From Thursday through Saturday, between 8 p.m. and midnight, the neighbourhood’s streets come alive with music, energy, and community. As the historic centre of Toronto’s 2SLGBTQ+ community—home to pioneering bars, businesses, and gathering spaces since the 1970s—the Village remains the cultural and social heart of the celebration.
Pride Circuit Parties
For four days and nights, Prism’s festival events bring together some of the largest crowds and most elaborate productions of the weekend. The 2026 theme, Beyond the Thunderdome, sets the stage for immersive experiences at venues including Rebel Nightclub, a 45,000-square-foot entertainment complex, and the waterfront Cabana. Known for world-class DJs, high-energy performances, and spectacular production, these unofficial circuit parties have become a defining part of the festival’s nightlife, where music, movement, and celebration continue long after sunset.
Caribbean Queer culture at Pride J’Ouvert
Now in its third year, this event brings together the energy of Pride and the traditions of Caribbean Carnival in a vibrant celebration of culture and community. Inspired by the pre-dawn festivities of Trinidad and Tobago Carnival, the gathering features pulsating soca music, high-energy dancing, and a joyful atmosphere that celebrates self-expression. Participants are encouraged to embrace bright colours, while traditional black paint adds a distinctive cultural element to the experience. More than a party, it is a celebration of both cultural heritage and Queer identity, creating a space where the two are honoured together.
Pup Your Pride
Pup Your Pride is perfect for Pride-goers and their four-legged companions; this family-friendly event celebrates the special bond between people and their pets. Expect Pride-themed pet swag, pup-friendly ice cream, a best-dressed dog contest, and an official dog parade along Church Street. Equal parts adorable and entertaining, it’s a joyful celebration where both humans and their beloved animals can take part in the festivities.
Market Street Pride
Market Street Pride is a family-friendly celebration at St. Lawrence Market that offers a more relaxed side of Pride, with live music, great food, interactive workshops, and a licensed bar. Local 2SLGBTQ+ artists, makers, and entrepreneurs showcase their work, creating an opportunity to support Queer-owned businesses and discover unique art and products. More community gathering than street party, it is a welcoming space to connect, explore, and celebrate at a slower pace.
Aqueerium
At Ripley’s Aquarium, expect drag performances, ocean-inspired cocktails, and immersive décor that transform an underwater setting into a vibrant under-the-rainbow celebration. Blending creativity, performance, and playful imagination, Aqueerium offers an evening of colour, spectacle, and unapologetic Queer joy. It’s a celebration that highlights artistry and self-expression.
