Pack up and head out of the city towards greener pastures. Fall is in the air and it’s time for an iconic fall activity: apple picking. In the GTA, there’s plenty of farms and orchards that are already open for the fall season, and we’ve got some of our favorite spots listed here. 1. Pingle’s Farm
Open: Tues-Sunday, hours vary.
Picking: Apples, sunflowers, corn, tomatoes, beans, strawberries

2. Organics Farm
Open: Week days 9am-6pm and weekends 9am-5pm
Tickets at $15 per person over 3 years old. Price includes a 5lb bag to pick your own apples.
Where: 7550 19th Ave, Markham
3. Brooks Farm
Open: Until 6pm
Tickets are priced based on the weight of the bag. Prices are as follows:
2.5lb: $8.00
5lb: $15.00
10lb: $25.00
20lb: $42.00
There’s a fall festival on the weekends and a market for produce and locally-crafted and sourced goodies.

4. Applewood Farm
Open: Wed-Fri 10am-5pm and Sat-Sun 9am-5pm.
Tickets are $10 per person over age 3 with 1 pumpkin or squash with each ticket. PYO apples are $34 per large bag and $20 per small.

5. Downey’s
Open: 9:30-5:30pm
Tickets: Minimum pick up $8.50 with 10 lb bags costing $26 and a 20 lb bag for $40.
Where: 13707 Heart Lake Rd, Inglewood
6. Dixie Orchards
Open: Starting at 4pm.
Tickets: Prices are $5.58 to enter the orchard.
Where: 14309 Dixie Rd, Inglewood
