A once-in-a-generation sporting event is coming to Toronto this summer, and you might be able to snag a seat for less than the price of a fancy dinner.
While World Cup fever has been building for years, the reality of sky-high ticket prices has left many local fans wondering if they’ll be watching the action from their living room screens. Now, the City of Toronto is launching a brand-new ticket lottery that offers a rare chance to witness the 2026 FIFA World Cup for as low as $26.

Through the newly announced Soccer for All Legacy Program, the city is raffling off 26 pairs of tickets to matches held at BMO Field (temporarily renamed Toronto Stadium) for the tournament. The lucky winners will get to experience the electric atmosphere of the world’s biggest sporting event right in their own backyard.
The initiative isn’t just about getting fans into the stands; it’s also designed to give back to the community. Proceeds from the lottery entries will go directly toward funding free soccer programming and building new mini-pitches in underserved neighbourhoods across Toronto. It’s a way to ensure the beautiful game leaves a lasting impact on the city long after the final whistle blows.
To enter, Ontario residents aged 18 and over can choose from a few different donation tiers:
- $26 for 5 entries
- $50 for 10 entries
- $150 for 50 entries
- $260 for 100 entries (which also includes a premium FIFA World Cup 2026 Toronto scarf)
The stakes are especially high for the early bird draw on March 17, which includes two pairs of tickets to Canada’s massive opening match on June 12. If you miss that window, don’t worry; the grand prize draw for the remaining tickets will take place on March 27.
Entries are officially open now and will be accepted until March 15. You can find more details and cast your name into the ring on the city’s official tournament website.
